Here is a freshly cut piece of comb heavy with honey. It is full of condensed summer sunshine, dilligently preserved, sensibly organized into practical small cells, pure, natural and unassumingly clever.
The necklace is made from silk organza dyed with plants. It is smocked with added honey-like, amber glass beads.
The chain closes with a handmade hook clasp and at the back ends in a short tail decorated with a single drop of honey. All metal is antiqued sterling silver.
Size: the silk part is 3.5 cm (1 1/4 inches) wide and 6.5 cm (2 1/2 inches) long. With the chain it measures about 56 cm (22 inches) around. The tail is about 6.5 cm (2 1/2 inches) long.
As with all textiles, storing the necklace out of direct sunlight is recommended to keep it at its best.
