Autumn is slowly turning into winter and all the colours into brown so here's one more necklace to hold onto the melancholy, fleeting autumn beauty.
Dyed in overlapping autumn reds, oranges, yellows, browns and greens, the pleats gently crumpled and creased like a leaf. The chain is decorated with smoky, speckled beads from a vintage necklace (probably bladdernut seeds once popular in rosaries) and deep garnet red faceted glass beads.
The chain closes with a handmade hook clasp. All metal is antiqued sterling silver.
Size: the silk part is 9 cm (3 1/2 inches) wide and with the chain it measures about 49 cm (19 inches) around.
As with all textiles, storing the necklace out of direct sunlight is recommended to keep it at its best.
