A tapered spiral, a stairwell for the imagination.
A small pearl marks the vanishing point on the horizon and opalescent beads attached to the chain are drops of seawater.
Delicate silk echoes fragile layers of calcium.
Found while beachcombing on the shore of a dream.
The pendant is made from silk dyed with plants to a teal colour with a beige background that shows between the pleats. It smocked with a matching thread and formed into the shape of a spiralling shell.
It hangs on a long chain which closes with a handmade hook clasp. All metal is antiqued sterling silver.
Size: the pendant is 7 cm (2 3/4 inches) long and about 2 cm (3/4 inch) wide at the widest point. The chain measures 60 cm (23 1/2 inches).
As with all textiles, storing the necklace out of direct sunlight is recommended to keep it at its best.
